Dear Parishioners of St. Clement Pope, effective
September 12, 2022 we have a new pastor.
Please welcome Rev. Fr. Christogonus Iwunze, S.D.V
to our parish.
Classes have begun, if you have not done so, please register
your child as soon as possible.
They are begin held in person in the Evangelization Center
All children, grades K through 8 both new and
returning must register. The fee, which covers some
of the materials, are as follows:
$40.00 per child
$70.00 for 2 children (per family)
$100.00 for 3 or more children (per family)
Blue is for new registrations and Green for returning students). If you are registering a child for the first time, we need to have a copy of the birth and
This year will be a hybrid year. The sessions will be:
in-person (Sundays-10:30am-12:00pm) with some
virtual sessions (Saturdays 10:30am-12:00pm)
Today is Catechetical Sunday, please keep our Catechist and
all those that volunteer their service to the parish in your prayers.

Mass Attendance for Faith Formation Students:
We understand your health concerns during this difficult time, Mass attendance is a very important part of the Faith Formation program especially for those in the Sacramental programs.
Please make every effort to join us during our celebrations.
Paris, Lourdes and Fatima Pilgrimage-April 10-21,2023
Join us as we visit some of the Marian Apparition sites.
We will visit Lourdes, where our Lady appeared to
Bernadette, and visit the Grotto with the healing waters.
Fatima where she appeared to Lucia, Francisco and
Jacinta and She performed the Miracle of the Sun.
Along the way we will also visit Paris, Avila and Lisbon.

September 18 for Catholic Education/ St. Elizabeth Ann Seton
Track Team News
Track practices for the 2022-23 season will begin in September. Last year our boys’ team placed in both the Indoor and Outdoor season. Call Coach Pasqual at (718) 347-3740 for more
information. Also don’t forget that the Longstride 1 mile run/walk returns to St. Clement this year on October 15th. Applications are in the rear of the church.
In August the pantry served 132 families, which included 321 adults, 208 children and 85 seniors.
The pantry is in need of volunteers to help with
deliveries 1-2 Tuesday mornings a month. Anyone who would like to help with deliveries can call (718) 322-3077 and leave a
message. They should be able to lift 25-30 lbs.
The Annual Catholic Appeal 2022
The appeal for 2022 is ongoing. Our parish goal is 18,879.00.
As of September 13, we have pledges totaling $22, 570.00 of that amount 18,430.00 has been collected. We thank everyone who have made pledges. Remember, any amount received over our goal comes back to the parish.
Diocese of Brooklyn Pilgrimage– REMINDER
Updated information on the Pilgrimage. We have a bus that will be leaving from the parish. The cost is $50.00 per person. There is a form on the table in the vestibule of the church. Please fill it out and return to the rectory by September 22, 2022 with the fee. Please make checks out to St. Clement Pope Church.

The Diocese of Brooklyn is sponsoring a one-day pilgrimage to
the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate
Conception, Washington, DC, on Saturday, October 22, 2022. The pilgrimage will take place under the leadership of Bishop Robert Brennan.
